Basic Knowledge
Mars is the second smallest planet in our solar system, after Mercury. It is about half the size of Earth It has cold red dusty deserts with little to no life. The only life that might exist on Mars are tiny ancient bacteria that might be sleeping beneath the surface.
Geographical Information
Mars has a very thin atmosphere made up of carbon dioxide, argon, nitrogen, and a really small amount of water vapor and oxygen, but not enough to breathe. Mars has no rings and two moons, Phobos and Deimos. Its surface is very rough. Its terrain has been altered by volcanoes, impacts and many more. Mars's surface is made mostly of iron, magnesium, aluminum, calcium, and potassium. The core deep under that is made mostly of iron, nickel, and sulfur. The reason why Mars has it's significant red color is because of the iron in its soil. The iron rusts causing it to appear red.
