In the previous article, we discussed regular logarithms. They are only limited to the base of 10, but today, I will be talking about how to make your logarithms more flexible. You can even make your logarithms not give decimals for numbers like 2 and 67 that aren't powers of 10. In this article, I am going to show you how.

To use logarithm bases, simply put a subscripted number after the word "log". It could look something like this: log₂(4). Since 4 is two to the power of 2, the answer would be 2. It would even work for log₂(8). 2 to the power of 3 is 8, so log₂(8) gives you three. You would even do 67. A logarithm with a base of 67 would look like this: log₆₇(). log₆₇(67) gives you one because 67 to the power of one is 67. You could even do log₆₇(4489). It gives you two because 67 to the power of two is 4489.
I hope you were able to extend your knowledge on logarithms today. Logarithms with different bases are just the same thing as regular logarithms. They just use a base other than 10. They could even use a base of e, which I will talk about in a different lesson. Logarithms with the base of e, by the way, are called natural logarithms.
