Frequency in Numbers

Frequency tables are very easy to use. They help you keep note on the frequencies of numbers. To find a frequency, simply just count how many times that number appears. So what people usually do with frequency tables is they split it up into groups called intervals. Intervals are basically a range of numbers like 1-5 or 6-10. People find out how many numbers in the data set are in that interval.

Example:

Do you see the frequency table on the right? The intervals are 1-5, 6-10, 11-15, and 16-20. When making a frequency table, the intervals go on the left side and the tallies go on the right side. The tallies are there so that you can easily jot down the numbers instead of having to change or erase the number every time you find out that another number is in that table. There is more to learn about frequency tables but this is my short version.
