Dividing by zero is an interesting topic in itself. It uses the smallest nonnegative value possible as the denominator and as you might know, the smaller and smaller the denominator, the larger and larger the quotient. So if you divide by the smallest value possible, will it give you the largest value possible? Infinity?

As you might know, division is just the reverse operation of multiplication. It is inquiring how many objects will fit into each group. For example, if you divide 6 by 2, it just means that if you have two groups and six objects in total, and you need to find out how many objects are in each group. There would be 3 groups so 6 divided by 2 will give you three. Another way to check that is that you can reverse it and ask yourself what 3 times 2 is. If it gives you 6, then 6/2 is 3.
But what happens if you divide by zero. Zero has no value and you already know that anything times zero will give you zero, no matter how big or small the number. So then what is something divided by zero. Well we already know what zero divided by something gives you. It gives you zero. 0/3 is zero because if you have 0 items total and 3 groups, then you will have nothing in each group so it's still zero. Something divided by zero is actually not possible though. Think of it like this: something divided by zero means what times zero gives you that number. Let's just use 3 again. 3/0 means what time 0 is three. Nothing. Anything times zero is zero, so nothing times zero will give you three. Also, if you have three items total and 0 groups, how many objects will be in each group. There are no groups so no objects in each group
